Jin Ye

Professor of China Conservatory of Music (CCM), tutor of doctoral degree. Current director of Conducting Department of CCM, and permanent conductor of CCM Symphony Orchestra. He is also artistic director of Jilin Symphonic Orchestra, music director of Lanzhou Symphonic Orchestra, principal guest conductor of Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra, principal guest conductor of Philharmonic Orchestra of Leningrad Russia.


He was working with many distinguished orchestras, including China National Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, China Central Traditional Orchestra, China Radio Traditional Orchestra, China Opera and Dance Theatre Traditional Orchestra, Beijing Traditional Orchestra, Macao Traditional Orchestra, St. Petersburg State National Orchestra of Russia. He conducted various program on the stage supported by China National Arts Fund, including the premiere of China Story concert in 2025, the premiere of China Myth concert in 2024, the multimedia opera Nie Er’s Songs in 2024, the premiere of Sino-tibetica Multimedia concert in 2021 and 2020, the premiere of Images of Pure Land and Images of the Silk Road in 2018 and 2016, the premiere of Chasing Dreams series of concert supported by Beijing Arts Fund in 2017. Also conducted the premiere of opera How Can’t I Miss Him in 2025, the premiere of Axis in Echos concert in 2025, the premiere of stage work Flowers concert in 2017, Chinese classic opera Xiao Er Hei’s Marriage from 2010 to 2011, Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale full production from 2009 to 2013.


He has also active in many other areas of music, including conducted Gala concert of ‘Symphonic Jazz’ with Beijing Symphony Orchestra since 2024, performed Crossover-Jazz under the title ‘Jin ye and His Friends’ in Beijing Concert Hall since 2022, held the ‘Jin Ye Trio’s Tributes to Jazz Classic’ and ‘Midnight Rose: Night of Jazz’ concert at NCPA in 2021, composed jazz original musical theatre Life Order Form under the delegation of Musical Theatre Department of Beijing Dance Academy in 2018, and published the collection of feature songs from the musical in 2020, attended the ‘China-Middle East Europe Jazz Concert’ for the 17 National Culture Ministries’ ministers from the Season of Forum Culture in 2017 invited by the National Ministry of Culture, conducted the premiere of original musical theatre Perhaps Tomorrow is Belonging to Me as the music director in 2015, invited to cooperate with the China Film Archive during Beijing National Movie Festival and gave the improvisation of background music for many classical silent films;, invited and attended the London Jazz Festival, NCPA ‘May Festival’, NCPA ‘Taihu’ Jazz Festival, Beijing ‘Nine Gates’ Jazz Festival since 2012.
